Story of Princess Amy part 4

Amy was running down the endless, dark corridor. She was panting and losing her breath. Her legs were weak and numb. She was scared to look back. She was worried HE was still chasing her. Amy's feet were sore. But she couldn't stop now! HE could kill her! Amy tripped over her own foot. She fell to dark wooden floor. She looked to see a cloaked figure standing infront of her holding a sharp blade dripping with warm, wet blood which came from the corpse of her mother's body. The hooded figure let out a horrid evil laugh which gave Amy chills down her spine. The figure holded up the knife and swingd it back down towards Amy. Amy closed her eyes shut.

"AHHHHHH!" Amy yelled. She was panting heavily and was soaked to the bone with sweat.
"It-it was a-a dream, just-just a dream" Amy said falling back into the various pillows on her bed relieved it wasn't real. Amy got up and walked to her bathroom. She turned on the cold tap and splashed her face with water, begging for the terrible memories to be washd out of her head. Amy sighed. The memories of her mother dying was still haunting her mind. She slumped back to her room. Her feet dragging across the floor with every step she took. She noticed her curtains were flapping about.
'I didn't leave the door open?' Amy's ears twitched as she heard a delicate melody playing coming from her balcony. Amy took caution and walked over to the curtains swaying delicatly in the wind. Amy pulled one back and gasped at the sight. Sitting on the thick, stone balcont railing was a black hedgehog playing the flute beautifully. Amy's heart started to flutter as she recognised the hedgehog instintly.

Shadow caught a flash of pink in the corner of his eye. He saw the princess standing there looking at him in complete awe. Shadow chuckled slightly at her actions.
"Isn't it past your bedtime?" Shadow said playfully, slipping hid flute into his jacket.
Amy crossed her arms and pouted, she turned her head to the side at stuck her nose up in the air. Shadow got off the balcony and walked over to the princess. He put a hand on her shoulder. Amy looked into his crimson eyes.
"What are you doing up so late?" Shadow asked softly. Amy's eyes started to tear up. She wrapped her arms tightly around Shadow and sobbed quitly into his shoulder.
"Shhh C'mon i'm here now, don't worry. Hey where's that brave Princess who lives in this castle, she is better than this?" Shadow said rubbing her back. Amy sniffled slightly and looked at Shadow's serious yet soft face.
"I-I've had these nightmares for a while ever since m-my mother died and they have been keeping me awake for a long time, i'm just scared!" Amy said hugging Shadow tighter. Shadow felt sorry for this poor girl. A beautiful princess like her shouldn't have to go through this torture.

Shadow scooped her up into his arms and carried her back into the warm castle. Amy sniffles quitly as she played with the tuft of fluffy white fur on his chest. Shadow didn't mind, in fact he actually quite like the feeling. Shadow carried Amy over to her huge bed. He carefully laid the princess on the bed. She grabbed the covers and pulled them over her body. Shadow sat down beside the princess and stroked her quills ever so soflty. Amy sighed dreamily and closed her eyes. Amy snuggled over to Shadow as he wrapped an arm around her shoulder. Amy instintly fell asleep in shadows warm conforting arm's. Shortly after the princess fell asleep Shadow yawned softly. He looked down at the beauty in his arms. Shadow smiled at her.
'She looks so peaceful when she sleeps' Shadow thought as his eyes sparkled slighty. He loved this girl more then anything. He wanted to propose to her so much but he is nothing but a mere painter for a Prince, he could never get to be with her. Shadow sighed slightly upset. Shadow leaned down and kissed her on the cheek. He walked over to the balcony and looked back at the peaceful Rose hedgehog in her bed. Shadow smiled and dissapeared into the darkness of the night...
